During the first two years as a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Librarian, I established two brand-new primary school libraries in Western Sydney. I wish to share my personal experience in bringing these spaces to life. As a general guide, the presentation will focus on the new library set-up, including flexible design spaces and ideas, our genrefied (and simplified) collection establishment (which is now being incorporated into the set-up of our brand-new neighbouring HS library), library branding and initiatives, as well as community connection ideas (including our library website and newsletters).
